Eating Out and Sticking to Health and Fitness Goals
I get a lot of questions on how I stay on track and balance family and health goals. Eating out and sticking to health and fitness goals can be a challenge. First, I try to incorporate my healthy life with my family. We love to eat out and here is an example of how I stayed on plan to stick with my goals:
I ordered the Hoisin Bowl with grilled chicken.
-no sauce
-light oil
How I counted my containers:
1 Red ❤ – the chicken
2 Green ?? – the broccoli, bell pepper, and red onion
1 Purple ? – the pineapple
1 Yellow ? – the rice
1 tsp ⚪ – oil
The second picture shows what I didn’t finish. If I had eaten all the rice and snow peas, I would have been over on my yellows for the day.
There was no suffering or sacrificing while I stayed on plan! We can all make choices that align with our health goals!
