Cancer Sucks

Cancer Sucks

Cancer Sucks….. when fitness becomes less about looking good and more about being healthy.

Cancer Sucks. I’m too young to have so many friends and people that I know being diagnosed with cancer.

Aren’t I?

Cancer Sucks. There’s a mole on your back that looks weird. Your friend gets called back for another mammogram and an ultrasound of her breast tissue and she’s only 40. Someone you know has cervical cancer and was just getting ready to have children. Another friend has cancer for the second time she’s in the hospital getting stem cell transplant. I’m praying hard for all these friends right now, but it’s just not right.

It’s just not right.

Aren’t I too young for this?

I guess not….

At some point recently, good nutrition and getting exercise stopped being about looking good or about how the bikini fit and about what size pants I wore and became about living a longer healthier life for my husband and my boys.

I know now, more than ever, that being on the road I’m on and finding my passion for helping others get fit, healthy, feel better and stay there ….. is absolutely where I’m supposed to be.

It’s about our health, friends! Let’s all start making it a priority. It may not change anything if you are predisposed to get cancer, but it does help with heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and many other preventable ailments. Make your health and your life a priority.
